Seems to be recovering faster than he did the first time he went to the DL this season. While this is good news, it is also a bit bizzare and his 'bone spur' imo is likely to start acting up immediately upon his return.
Does anyone know the specifics of this injury? Who thinks he'll be out as quickly as he returns? Does he have a chance to save his season? (He was doing quite well when he was not hindered by the spur in his elbow).
Any information or commentary from the cafe on this topic would be much appreciated.

A few weeks ago, when he went back on the DL for the 2nd time, I read he will need surgery to fix his arm. I cut him right then and there. He said he will try to make it through the season then have the surgery after the season is over. That is looking more and more bleak everyday. I don't think he will make it through the year.

It pained me to have to drop Escobar because I do believe he will be effective when he pitches but I just think there is a good chance that once he comes back and feels pain in his elbow again that he will finally elect for surgery. I really hope I'm wrong but I just feel there is a greater chance of that than him staying healthy for rest of year. I'm in 14 team league and there is not a lot of good pitching out there but I had to drop Bedard as well to pick up pitchers that can help me now.
