Does anybody know when he will be back. Also is he worth using a pick in this weeks supplemental draft. My other 2b are Utley and Bellhorn. Thinking of dropping Bellhorn for him.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Loretta is expected to return in late July or early August.
You can drop Bellhorn and pick him up .. stash him on DL if you can ...
Utley will be fine at 2B for you... ;-D

Yeah, if you can hold Loretta in a DL slot until he returns, drop Bellhorn for him. He'd be much better.

Mark Loretta (2B) SD is shooting for a July 19 return, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He has been recovering from thumb surgery.

Latest update...

Loretta took batting practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering a strained ligament in his left thumb, the team's official web site reports. "It felt good," Loretta said. "I didn't feel like I was guarding it or anything. I feel like I'm on schedule. Our goal is July 19."

Loretta is eligible to come off the 60-day DL on July 19 and it looks like he'll be able to return that day. There is talk he could start at third base in place of Sean Burroughs when he returns rather than second base.

HUSH! I want to pick him up in my league. I have Giles and Vidro at 2B, but I'm looking to get rid of Vidro for a decent starter... say Patterson?

Anyways, he should be a top 5 2B once he comes back.
