I was going to post something similar to Benson changing his approach yesterday, but rotowire did it for me, and better than I could have:
Jun 22 Benson battled his way through six innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on nine hits hits and one walk, to get the victory in the Mets' 8-5 win over the Phillies.
Recommendation: One weird stat is that Benson, after striking out 31 batters over his first six starts and 36.1 innings, has only struck out just four hitters in 26 innings over his last four outings. He for some reason seems to be pitching more to contact, as he has only walked four hitters in those last four starts after allowing 11 base-on-balls in his first six outings.
