Per Rotoworld.
Eric Gagne will have Tommy John surgery to fix a sprained ligament in his right elbow. He's out for the season.
It will be the second time he's had the procedure, the first coming in 1997. After a second MRI, it was determined that the sprain was significant enough to require surgery. It's possible, though hardly guaranteed, that he'll be ready for the start of 2006. Yhency Brazoban will continue to close unless the Dodgers can acquire someone better before the deadline.

Ouch. This is obviously a nightmare for fantasy owners and the Dodgers alike.
I really hope Brazoban gets it together now. He should know his role now; it seems to upset him when he doesn't. If he can't get it together, the Dodgers are going to have to look elsewhere for a closer or pack it in for the season. They are reeling.

Just not a year for the closer.. Makes Brazoban possibly the best WW pick-up of the year (If that's where you got him, I know most did.)
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
