Wondering how much stock to put into the stats of Mexican League players. Looks like there's some pretty decent boppers there according to the numbers, guys like Willis Otanez, Jorge Alberto Vazquez, Eduardo Rios, and Carlos Valencia. Anyone know anything about these guys? Is there any "blue chip" prospect coming out of that league anytime soon? (Hybrid, o minor league guru, whattaya got on the Mexican League?)

Lol, no one really pays attention to the Mexican Leagues as they aren't run by any MLB teams (such how AA teams are, etc.). None of the players are big name prospects, so there really isn't to much of a reason to pay attention to them.

Persistance pays off! Thanks for the info (someone should inform minorleaguebaseball.com of this as well, they have the Mex League posted side-by-side with the AAA leagues on their site).

I'm also pretty sure that the Mexican League is an extreme hitters league. So looking at stats isn't going to help you much in evaluating these guys.
