Up to Date Hit rate percentages for pitchers? They exist?

Postby Frances The Mute » Mon Jun 20, 2005 8:00 am

By far my favorite stat, I know the Diamond Guru Guys had a first month or so collection and it was AWESOME. If you believe in hit-rates I think its the single best way to pick/evaluate/project pitchers.

Is there an up to date collection anywhere or an update available?

yea thats what i was looking for thanks a lot.

I know silly people that are pretty sure batters can aim their hits and pitchers can induce outs etc etc.

But thats why I stomp them!

the diamond gurus sheet was actually a lot better ten the espn page, more in depth, useful. Still, that link was the best updaet i've found.

Its funny....I caught myself using that stat both ways (slap slap). The guys who I like and had low rates, I could hear myself thinking that no one can get solid wood on them(Oswalt) but some of the guys who I thought were over-achieving and lucky, I could hear myself thinking that ratio will catch up with them.

Ahhhhh stats and objectivity!
