He has been a major disapointment for all fantasy owners this year. He is a streaky hitter so my tactic was to reserve him and pick up a fill-in player until he catches fire. He should start to heat up right around the time Manuel is fired. But in the mean time, bench him if you have roster room.

it depends on who you could pick up for him. He has zero trade value, so if you can get someone decent on the free agent list then i would go for it.

I wouldn't hesitate to dump him if there is somebody decent on the WW.

I feel your pain too because I have Paul Konkero also(not to mention the White Soxs are my favorite team too so I'm having double the pain). Anyways, I have to figure unless the guy is secretly hurt, he has to come out of this slump at some point because he's too talented to be putting up the numbers he's doing. I say if you have extra room on your bench, you might as well stick him on it and wait cuz he has no trade value and has the potential to help you at some point(when I don't know).

I think this is the 10th "Paul Konerko" thread in 3 weeks. The answers everyone seeks are as follows:

If you have bench room and you believe in him, keep him benched

If you have bench room and you believe in him, pick him up

If you have bench room and you think he's an overweight bust, drop him

If you don't have bench room and you believe in him, drop him

If you don't have bench room and you think he's an overweight bust, drop him and make a post in your league about what a disappointing peice of dump he is.

he's worthless. traditionally, he sucks in the 2nd half... so since he doesnt have gaudy #s to hold him up right now, well then, i dont see much point towards nabbing a part of the rotting corpse that is the white sox offense.

he only sucked in the 2nd half last year... he's actually somewhat balanced over the course of his career.

I actually found a Sox fan in my league to take Konerko in my league. I trade Konerko, A Gonzalez(Fla), and R Ortiz for J Spivey and C Beltran. I have gotten nothing from Spivey but I feel good about it. I was so fed up with Paulie Wiff that I don't care if he goes off in the second half. But there is no indication he is ever coming around. He has sucked since last years all-star break. I say dump him with no regrets............
