youre going to need another outfielder, i have little confidence that nixon and griffey will stay healthy and productive all year. you might want to pickup or trade for a relief pitcher. overall, from what i can tell though, you have a pretty decent team. please look at mine at statsman88. thanks and good luck.
I have to agree with the previous post. A trade that happened in one of my leagues was Turnbow and Griffey for C. Cordero. So you may want to throw in one of your lesser RP for a quality OF.
WITH 14 TEAMS IN HIS LEAGUE I DOUBT HE HAS ANYONE WORTH ANYTHING ON THE WW....HE DEF. NEEDS AN OF AND A SP. OUTSIDE OF PEAVY IT TAKES A SIGNIFICANT DROP TO GARCIA AND BURNETT...ID TRY TO TRADE ARAMIS RAMIREZ AND GRIFFEY (WHILE HE LOOKS HEALTHY AND IS PERFORMING) TO A TEAM THAT IS STACKED WITH PITCHING AND MAYBE NEEDS A 3B FOR A SP AND AN OF. THEN PUT HALL IN AT THIRD
Taking a quick glance at your roster and then at your stat categories I noticed you have a couple dead players:
Ryan Wagner - He's not the closer and as this isn't a holds league his other stats don't warrant a spot on your team. Drop him there has to be a better replacement. If there are no closers available try for an upper tier Mid Reliever for at least vulture wins, etc. Check the status of Duchscherer on WW as well. He's the closer while Streets' out.
Mark Loretta - It looks like you only have 1 DL spot. Then why are you keeping Loretta? If/when he comes back he's going to need a lot of training time and I doubt he's even that strong when he does come back. Drop him and go for a sleeper guy who might turn into a monster. Players like Duomit, Shelton, N. Logan, Hollins, Cantu all fit the bill here. And since your league plays two Util it should be easier to find one of them playing time now and again at least.
I also agree you need an OF pronto. Trot doesn't play against Left handers so when the Red Sox are playing lefties you are shorting yourself to 2 OF for those days. That's very very bad. I'd hang onto Sexson, Aram, Manny and Tejada as they are your biggest producers. As for anyone else though I'd listen to offers to see if you can improve that OF. Griffey is always 1 AB from an injury so it might be worth your while to snag 2 more OFs.
drop loretta if anything out there looks tempting. lopez should be your 2b. look to move griffey and grud or hall for an upgrade in the of. k rod, izzy, street should be a nice rp core. I'd replace walker and wagner with mr's like crain, shields, and politte if possible. Also, your starting staff is one injury away from real problems.
