I hate you Lou Pinella!

So Lou says last week he's gonna play Aubrey Huff at 3B during interleauge play, causing many in the fantasy world (like me) to have a mini-spasm b/c that means he'll be 3B eligible very soon. So what does he do last night? He plays Huff in RF!? WTF? Tell me how Damian Easley is a better guy to have in the lineup than Ben Grieve, who would play RF if Huff were at 3rd? Arrgh, you are seriously messing w/ my trade plans Lou.

Did this piss anyone else off? I know he wasn't gonna get enough games this week, but it would have made 14 at 3B if he started there all this week. :-C

He might still change it or rotate Grieve in and out of the lineup all week with Huff shuttling back and forth between 3B and RF. I think the rationale for not going with Huff at 3B and Grieve in RF is defense. Greive is a terrible outfielder, and Huff is pretty shaky at 3B too, so he probably chose defense over offense.

It could also be that he just did it for last night's game because he knew they were facing Mark Prior, and that runs would be hard to come by, and they didn't want to give up any runs with bad defense. He could still change back vs Clement and Estes, who are mediocre pitchers.

I hope you're right, b/c Huff's value at least doubles if he's 3B eligible.

yeah, i totally agree. i have huff in two leagues where i could use a solid 3b, suffice to say, he'd be the answer to my problems. until then, he's clogging up a util spot that could go elsewhere, since OFs are so easy to find.

Just in case anybody missed it, D. Easley was released today. Lou started T. Shumpert at 3B tonight but apparently, it looks like J. Sandberg is the new starter.

God Lou, please play Huff at 3rd......You got my hopes all up with that talk last week, and now you're backing down? I'm getting a Jared Sandberg vodoo doll ASAP.
