This was done due to the injury to Eaton, not because Peavy needed the extra day. He's not hurt. He'll be fine.

I thought that players were moved UP due to injury, not back.

Seems to me it is being done for the reason previously stated - to face the key divisional opponent with your ace - not some interleague match-up against one of the top 5 SP in baseball.
