Anyone know who the rookie is that he is referring to from todays EPSN article?

I think he means a generic rookie in this context. As in, every manager knows at least one rookie that has been underperforming. It's probably not just one mysterious uber-loser.

AL Rookies that come to mind are Swisher, Chris Young, McPherson, Aaron Hill, Cano, Wang, and Jeremy Reed.

sounds to me like he's referring to one person in specific, could be AL or NL though. also doesn't say he's underperforming, just very noticeably weaker.............

i would also lean towards him being a hitter...

Of that list, I'd guess Hawpe. Was a power hitter throughout the minors, but has struggled hitting HR in COL. Career SLG of .427 for a guy who was always above .500 in the minors.

Dallas is 6'4", 230 lbs, and has a whopping 6 homers in 168 AB's. Swisher's the only other "highly touted" rookie who's really flopping, but from the sound of it, Gammons is talking about D-Mac.
