CLEMENS QUESTION #1 (answered)

In anticipation of the 300th win for Roger Clemens (as a Red Sox fan I both admire and hate him now). I have a few questions about his career....this is the first:

When Clemens was first recalled from Pawtucket whose roster spot did he claim (Hint: this player was put on the DL)?

Surprisingly, this has been up a while, so I'll answer it....Dave Stapleton....

Hint for all us Red Sox fans (we should get something for years of suffering). The person who Clemens replaced on the roster was left on the bench (rather famously) during Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.

Hint on top of the last hint....many think he should have subbed in defensively for Bill Buckner...(P.S. can we let up on the man now? without him the Sox don't even make the playoffs, he had MVP numbers - look it up)
