hudson's own fault?

Postby fastek24 » Fri Jun 17, 2005 4:23 pm

i was watching the oakland telecast of their recent matchup with the braves. the announcing crew was commenting on what a "class guy" he is because he made the decision not to pitch against his old team causing him to pitch on two different occasions without his routine rest. i know cox has pitchers down but there may be some credence to that.

instead of pitching against oakland, the worst hitting team on the road, he piches against the angels and texas costing owners a lot of points and ending up on the dl. has anyone heard this of am i just a disgrunteld owner?

I didn't hear that about him, but I'm also a disgruntled owner so I feel your pain. At leat him being on the DL prevents me from putting him in the lineup to loose points.

As far as the announcers calling people class guys. They just say that about the "home team" because they are paid to make them look good so you'll want to root for him. Afterall if they don't they'll end up like Chip Carey and Steve Stone...fired...after they weren't friendly to the home team.

Truthfully this was the best thing that could've happened for me with Hudson. He is considered an "undroppable" player, and I couldn't shop him to anybody. At least now he isn't taking up a roster spot to get lit up nearly every performance. I plan on keeping him on the DL until he looks even remotely like the old Hudson.
