i've been really giving it a go trying to make my first sig. i'm new to photoshop.
question is: i have cs2, i'm having a problem copying my images to my sig. after i lasso my image, i then try to zoom out (trying to make the image smaller) i then copy the image and post it to my sig in a different box. the image is always way to big and i cant adjust the image size once it's copied to my sig. any idea what i'm doing wrong or how to make an image a desired size after i lassoed it?
thanks guys...

Press Ctrl+T, or Edit>Transform>Scale, while the right layer is selected, and drag one of the corners while pressing Shift to make it the desired size.

Did you actually change the image size with Image Size or did you just Zoom? Because zooming doesn't change the actual size.

do have another question though. blankman, see how you have a blured yellowish backround behind your name in your sig? how to you get that and also how to you get a more shadowed font that appears raised in a way?

Well, I'm not blankman...but I think I can help. On your text layer in the layer window, right click and select "blending options." The yellowish part is "outer glow", and you can play around with that. I'm not sure about the raised part but I think it's "drop shadow". You can play around with the blending options for some pretty cool effects, text or not.

The "yellow" behind the name are her arms
I used an Outer Glow on the text. That's all.
