Well, the guy is finally off anti-biotics and is "day-to-day" for baseball activities... think he will finally turn the corner and come back this season? And what about when?

Barry will definetly be back this season, most likely just after the all-star break. ;-D

Alou has said he still is hoping Bonds can return to DH for the upcoming series against the A's...
Well, hope in one hand and crap in the other...
I do think, though, that he might be pinch hitting before the month is over...

From a fantasy viewpoint, Bonds a a pinch hitter is th elast thin gyou really want. means you have to use a bench slot instead of a DL slot on him.

Giants manager Felipe Alou gave a hearty chuckle when asked
for an update on the injury to superstar slugger Barry
Bonds. "I don't have my laptop with me," Alou said, alluding
to the progress reports Bonds posts on his website. "I'm not
even close to anticipating any (return) date."

We do have internet access. From his website journal entry
June 10: "The rehab is coming along great. We are moving
along at a nice pace and I'm only a few degrees from having
full motion. My knee is getting stronger and although the
swelling is minimal, we have to still be cautious. Over the
weekend, I will see Dr. Armstrong and go over my X-Ray and
MRI results. We will then plan out the next few weeks and
see how we can increase my rehabilitation workout. Next
week, I will be getting off the antibiotics and have another
blood test. This week, I played catch on the field, did some
resistance exercises and used my heavy bat to work on a few
hand drills. Another good sign for me is that my stamina is
coming back. I've been spending time cycling and when the
time is right, I will be outside jogging. I feel that all
the pieces are coming together at a good pace for me.
Thoughts of playing with my teammates and hearing the roar
of the fans as we pursue a World Series ring here in San
Francisco really motivates me." Nothing really new. We
anticipate a post All-Star break return at this point.

One league I'm in I have only one DL spot and four others on the DL as well. I dropped Bonds better see if anyone grabbed him.

Whats the over/under on the number of "mysterious setbacks" he has before actually coming back?
