Chipper worth holding on to?

Postby Tropico1804 » Thu Jun 16, 2005 12:44 pm

When is he expected to come back? and will he even be effective when and if he returns?

I can't say for sure on the when (4-6 weeks is the latest I believe) but you should definitely be holding onto him. Chipper is one of those guys who can play at the drop of a hat- he'll sit for a series, then the first game back he'll go 3 for 4 with a run and 3 RBIs, with or without a working leg. I'm always impressed at his ability to jump back into games after a break (unlike, say Lance Berkman), which is one of the reasons I have no problem starting him whenever he's playing.

Add that to the fact that he's been having an excellent season when he's played, and you've got to keep him on your roster.
