Cmon Vernon, don't be a fool, wrap the tool.

Hey at least this was said before the weekend series, maybe he'll dedicate the rest of his season to da baby and go amazing.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

The Jays are so insanely talented that they don't need him to beat Milwaukee. :-D

btw - it's a boy. Scuttlebut around Toronto is that he will be named Mookie Wells.

Can't blame Vern on his choice, but did any FBB site publish anything about an impending birth (i assume and hope it was not premature). Just seems like alot of $ is spent on FBB and someone ("expert"/"insider") might have speculated the impending birth might have weekly league impact ...

Wells has left the Toronto Blue Jays for the birth of his
second child and will not return until Monday.

With Wells away from the team, Alex Rios will be used in
center field with Gabe Gross patrolling right.
