I am ccarrying 5 SP, but there are many FA i need. I want to drop someone, and I was thinking Pavano, but then I would only have 4 SP. Is this too few? My guys would be: D-Train, Burnett, Capuano, Peavy. I'm trying to package Burnett and M Young for a better SP. Would the rotation be good enoug with only 4?

depends on the IP minimum -- your 4 starters should be enough, and pavano is certainly the least good of those players. also, do you have closers or MR?

If it's a daily transaction league with no max IP, your ENTIRE bench should be SP and RP. At most, have one hitter on the bench you platoon in. Benched hitters don't help your stats much.

Help please:

Harden- 2.15 ERA, 7.61 K/9
Peavy - 2.89 ERA, 10.10 K/9

12 team H-H weekly points leagues where you have to start 5SP each week?
Those are the kind of H-H leagues I'm most experienced in.
In leagues with those rule paramaters I like to have 7 or 8 sP on my roster and I'm not afraid to utilize the FA pool for decent options. Outside of your top 2-3 unless you have an exceptionally good draft with SP, all your pitchers are not must starts on a weekly basis. My most successful seasons have been best served by drafting 2-3 must start aces and playing pitcher match ups each week to round out the back end of the rotation.
