Though amusingly enough it's actually better to have the underrated OF than the stud, as you get more outs as a result. If a guy could find a way of being really good whilst continually getting a bad rep, he'd be an awesome attribute.

Another outfield assist for manny -- gunned down Jack Wilson at the plate, with a great block from Varitek
Dude's got a plus arm and good accuracy/fast release...just needs to work on those pop flies

I think I get what he's saying. If you have to choose between two players of exactly equal defensive quality, you should take the guy with the worse reputation. I don't think he's saying he'd take Manny over Ichiro.
