He's having a great deal swinging from the left side due to the shoulder. This looks like it may be ongoing, where he plays against the lefties but has to take days off vs. righties. Definitely a fantasy GM hassle.

Why does he have to be a switch-hitter? I heard about people who bat right-handed against both lefties and righties. Besides, he bats the same crap from both sides of the plate, so why not let him hit from one side against everyone?

Actually, Furcal apparently brought up the idea of hitting exclusively righthanded but has held off so far.

Personally, I'd rather just see him go DL for a couple weeks, IF that would alleviate the problem. But I'm not sure that's the case.
