wagner- please let it be. with gags gone- i need a highly touted up and comer. I know he's struggled and cincy hasn't had any opps. Weathers has two saves but only because wags couldnt work again after pitching two innings in the game prior to the save. I know wags has been struggling but wasn't he the all-time saves/ K/9 leader in college baseball?

You mentioned it yourself...why in the heck would they put Wags in in the sixth or seventh if he was their closer?!!? Doesn't sound like a closer to me unless they're hoping the game will rain out suddenly in the 7th!!!!

They are not confident in anyone, so they are using everyone.

I would assume their plan "down the road" is to use Wagner there, but I guess he just doesn't have the stuff right now.

Weathers is the man for now. They have obviously decided that Wagner is not ready for the job or just can't hack it.
