The suckiest perfect game spoiler would have to be when the batter swings and misses strike three, the catcher drops it, and the runner advances to first.

It's a 100% perfect game and the 3B should be beaten like red-headed stepchild for putting a perfect game in jeopardy.

It sounds like the consensus is that this would still qualify as a perfect game. You gotta love baseball for weird little things like this...and you gotta love the Cafe where such an obscure question would get such serious consideration.

people have been saying "no batter reached base"
i might be wrong but i was thinking that the batter reaches first base on the error, and then precedes to get thrown out stealing or picked off. in either situation it would get the publicity like a true perfect game. I think this is a question meant for the boys at PTI.

That is not a perfect game. Reread the MLB definition I posted earlier.
Right.
In this scenario, the error was on a
foul ball. Therefore no one reached base.

i see now. yeah, that would be a perfect game i'd say then because no one reached base.
