Batman Begins - anybody seeing it?

Postby WharfRat » Wed Jun 15, 2005 10:01 am

Flick opens today, I'm pretty excited to see how they're going to handle it. I like that they're getting all old-school with the villains and the storyline, about Bruce Wayne's training etc, and just the whole idea of going back to when Batman was young and everything seems to really fit. Batman was always my favorite superhero when I was a kid, and the first couple movies were awesome, but from what I've seen, this new version could own the Tim Burton flicks. I've got a lot of confidence in Christopher Nolan, too - his movies are always well-done. I read somewhere that there's already a trilogy planned. Here's hoping it lives up to expectations... ;-D

Batman (1989) - Great movie. One of the best superhero movies.
Batman Returns (1992) - Stunk.
Batman Forever (1995) - Not bad.
Batman & Robin (1997) - By far the worst Batman movie.

I wasn't very excited about Batman Begins but it has gotten very good reviews. I'll probably end up seeing it.

I'll see it. I don't like the actor as Batman from the previews, but I'll give it a look.

I actually am a big fan of that guy. Check out Reign of Fire, I probably wouldn't have liked him as Batman/Bruce Wayne either if I hadn't seen that, but he definitely kicks some a$$ in that movie. He was great in American Psycho, too.

I disagree that Batman Returns stunk - it wasn't as good as the first one but it definitely had it's moments. At least we hadn't gotten to nipples on the Batsuit yet. ;-D

Going to see it today. I have a ton of faith in this one. They went with a lot of Frank Miller stuff which pleases me to no end.

Sin City and a Miller themed Batman in the same year.....WHOO!

I Don't think I'm going to see it in theaters.I'll definitely see it on video. Longest Yard and The Smiths seem a lot better.
