all the talk about greinke's curveball got me thinking about the team i have back at school. me and my roommates have a "room team" where we alternate innings. we play regular rosters with the fair tradesand budget and all that stuff. here is our team...
2nd year twins dynasty
c-mauer
1b-lee
2b-rivas(he's bad on the game, sux real life???)
3b-blalock
ss-uribe(see rivas)
of-crawford
of-wells
of-baldelli
dh-tex
sp-johann
sp-harden
sp-peavy
sp-ollie
sp-burnett
lrp-vargas, ankiel
mrp-street, jairo garcia, made up lefty
su-mota
cl-k-rod
the rotation is my favorite. peavy is sick. this game has killed my gpa. anyone else got a all-star team similar to mine?

sorry, didnt really know where to put it. hoping this would be a big thread bc i think it is interesting to see other peoples teams so i figured it would be moved in this forum anyways. but if a moderator wanted to move it thats cool.
For a bit of a challenge, I played owner mode and had a fantasy draft. The twist is I drafted the worst players, ditched the 2005 season and started from scratch in 2006. Here's my squad at the start of 2006:
C: Kelly Stinnet
1B: John Mabry
2B: Orlando Hudson
SS: Brian Roberts
3B: Brandon Inge
LF: Jason Bay
CF: Dave Roberts
RF: Matt Holliday
DH: Chase Utley
vs Lefties:
C: Miguel Olivo
SS: Marco Scutaro
LF: Miguel Cairo (Bay moves to CF)
RF: Victor Diaz
DH: Chris Shelton
SP: Sean Burnett
SP: John Patterson
SP: Brett Myers
SP: Wes Obermueller
SP: Scot Shields
MR: Blaine Neal
MR: Vladimir Nunez
MR: Lance Cormier
MR: Frank Fransisco
SU: Cliff Politte
CL: Billy Koch
On paper, that's probably the worst team you've ever seen, but in the game it's actually not bad. I just simmed a couple of months, and I went 30-22 during that stretch. The offense is one of the best in the league (due to most players having a high OBP) and the pitching holds its own.
Mmmmm...I like high scoring games in MVP, so I drafted all my hitters before my pitchers...
C - Paul Lo Duca
1B - Mark Teixeira
2B - Alfonso Soriano
SS - Carlos Guillen
3B - Melvin Mora
LF - Pat Burrell
CF - Created myself RF - Mike Cameron
Bench - Marlon Anderson, Angel Berroa, Jose Molina, Eric Hinske, one more person I can't remember
SP - Loaiza, Doug Davis, Daniel Cabrera, Brett Myers (I think), forget the last one
RP - Uhh...Mike Wood, Blaine Neal, Justin Duchscherer, Matt Kinney, Ben Weber
SU - Rudy Seanez
CL - Billy Wagner
I love it...I play on the hardest difficulty....my last game was a come from behind win in the bottom of the 9th after Wagner blew the save in the top of the 9th
I'm playing every game of this year with the Red Sox in Dynasty mode, I just got up to date in the real season last night. Thus far I've traded for Durham (great in the game) to be my starter at second, and last night I pulled off a trade of Millar and minor leaguers for Aubrey Huff. Tonight I'm going to get rid of the Fat Man and see if I can get Halladay
Man, that game is fun. What settings do people play on? I've found that I can rarely hit for power on All Star (what I play the season on), but I'm a pretty good gap/contact hitter. Pitching is way too easy though - I must have 10 CGSO, and Arroyo's looking like the early season AL cy young (2.05 ERA, 1 perfect game, 8 wins). Anybody have any hitting tips? I usually play with pitch cursor off, vibration off, hitter's eye on, strike zone and hot and cold zones off, throw meter off.
