Keep in mind Boone's hot streak is a feast or famon hot streak, he's 1 for something wtih an RBI or a homer so he's not exactly stringing the hits together. It's a typical Shawn Green style hot streak (who is on my team right now because of hit hot streak).
So say, Chpper Jones is on your DL and Chone Figgins is your current 3B, would you pick up Boone to play at 3B, moving Figgins to SS. Keep in mind I'd have to drop Darin Erstad who I'm trying to trade for David Wright to fill in my 3B issues. I know that trade sounds like crap but the guy that has Wright has a West Coast Bias and wants all West Coast players.

He is hitting .318 with 3 HR and 2 SB in 14 games in june, you could do much worse than Boone right now. I wouldn't want him as my full time 3B all year, but picking him up while he's hot is not a bad idea.

Do a search, someone posted an interesting statisical article in another post recently saying he has been the unluckiest hitter so far and that his BA should be like .280 or thereabouts. Not saying that I am necessarily a believer, but it was an interesting arguement and I am ready to give him a bench spot and play him when Hinsk faces lefties.
