i think that he sorta faked that whole bit because he was upset. he threw at burnitz. they ump almost threw him out but warned him. then the manager came out and he acted as if something was wrong with his finger. i think he used that as an excuse for trying to bean jeremy after giving up a homer to derek lee....and besides he was losing.
we shall see, but i bet that he is fine and will make his next start.
I'm actually a bit surprised. I thought he would have figured out the blister problems by now. We'll wait and see how much time he misses. Hopefully it won't be a lot.

Blister Boy likely to miss 2 weeks give or take a few days. All my top pitchers are getting hurt...it is just ridiculous.
Rotoworld:
The Marlins are currently unsure whether Josh Beckett's first finger blister of the year will put him on the disabled list.
''From talking to the trainer, it's not as bad as it was last year,'' manager Jack McKeon said. ''But we're still talking about 10 days, 12 days, 14 days.'' If that's the case, the DL is likely. Al Leiter almost certainly will be put back into the rotation with Beckett out.

Faking it? right....The guy has had blister problems every single year of his career.
Swell...now he can join Prior and Bedard on the sidelines on one of my teams. Fortunately, I snagged Ervin Santana in all four of my leagues last week (in anticipation of a recall) so some of the sting is removed.
But is there anyone who's not concerned that this the start of a Beckett deja vu run where the same problem keeps recurring?
My top pitcher in one league is now Mussina or Garland. I have a starting staff now of Moose, Garland, Maddux, C. Lee, and Silva with Arroyo on my bench and my aces on my DL. Thi sis just insane.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
