Baldelli possibly injured again?

Postby tmoney » Tue Jun 14, 2005 8:53 pm

Now dont hold me to this, but I found this posted somewhere else. So I dont know if it is true or not. I figure I would post it since I know some of you are stashing Baldelli in hope of him returning soon. Hopefully it is not an accurate source.

ST. PETERSBURG - Rocco Baldelli's comeback from knee surgery could soon be sidetracked by Tommy John surgery on his right elbow.

The Devil Rays center fielder, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee playing with his younger brother in their Rhode Island back yard last fall, injured the elbow while working out on the field at the Raymond Naimoli complex this week.

I know, if there is not a link then I will not believe it either. I was just posting this to bring it out in the open so someone else could maybe find a link or give insight.

That doesn't sound very good. The Rays were hoping to get Baldelli back right after the All-Star break.

Is that just the name of fantasy sports death or what ..

Dr. James Andrews ..

I have never met the man, and I am sure he is a good person, and quite the humanitarian, I certainly dread hearing his name.

Dr. James Andrews ..

I am going to try that on my kids.
"shut up or I will send you to see Dr. James Andrews" :-D

No Daddy, not the elbow monster... LOL !+)
Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

The St. Petersburg Times reports it appears Rocco Baldelli
will have season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right
elbow. He will be examined Wednesday in Birmingham, Ala., by
noted orthopedic surgeon James Andrews.

Baldelli, who blew out the ACL in his left knee this past
October, was expected back in the lineup as soon as July 1.
It is believed he suffered the injured elbow last week on a
throw during pregame warmups. It might be time for owners in
seasonal formats to cut ties with Baldelli.
