Hit Me Baby One More Time

Postby Pacman » Tue Jun 14, 2005 8:30 pm

Anyone seen this yet? on NBC -- a MUST for nostalgic folks like me who miss the 80s. Here's a LINK.

Stars from decades past sing one of their hits AND a current Top 40 song by someone else. So far: Loverboy, Vanilla Ice, The Motels, The Knack, Tommy Tutone and others have performed.

I'm watching a replay tonight on NBC, Tiffany just sang "I think we're alone now".

Coming up Thursday - Wang Chung, Howard Jones and Cameo (WORD UPPPPP)

Tonight's the night! 9 pm, NBC. Everybody have fun tonight.... everybody Wang Chung tonight. (Actually, Dance Hall Days is a better Wang Chung song).

;-D

I think I was the inspiration for the Uncle Rico character in Napoleon Dynamite. If I could go back in time to 1982, I'd probably do it too! B-)

Cameo is good. I enjoy them immensely. I am very excited. (hope I didn't just seem immature for saying that) Forgive me
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

My opinion on last night's show -- Howard Jones sounded GREAT. His voice is as good as it was 20 years ago. Most of the other acts (Wang Chung, Sofie B Hawkins, Cameo and especially Irene Cara), sounded pretty weak. I was surprised the studio audience voted for Irene to give the money to her charity.

But a big thumbs up for a great performance by HoJo ;-D

P.S. I saw a list of next week's acts flash by on the screen, the one that I was happiest to see coming up -- Greg Kihn -- had two big hit in the early 80s with "The Breakup Song" and "Jeopardy".
