Rob Neyer is the only good baseball writer for ESPN. I'd even hesitate to call him an ESPN writer. He's a freelance sabermetrician with a few books to his name. He's worked with Bill James before. He knows his stuff.

Neyer ain't no sabermetrician. He's a popular writing who is very good at explaining sabermetric information to the average Joe.

still no love for Ramon Hernandez, though. what is he doing wrong?

I used to love reading Neyer but he is only available on ESPN Insider now and I'm too cheap to pay for it. The only good free thing on ESPN now is Page2.
