Gagne likely to go DL again

I hate to see Gagne having the TJS...I love him as a player and you don't like to see that happen to anyone.

That said, if he's truly on the shelf for the entire year with TJS my teams just got a HECK of a lot stronger this year. I dropped such superstars as Frank Thomas, Iguchi and Seanez and got to pick up a solid closer for a solid team. It was complete luck too...I turned on the tv before bed to watch the NBA playoffs and flipped to sportscenter when the commercial came up - they mentioned Gagne being hurt and I sprinted back to the computer and used my fbb management page (make sure to read the directions in the thread carefully to figure out how to use it as well if you're interested) to whip through all 16 leagues and get him added. :)

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't Gagne had Tommy John surgery before?

Is surgery probable here? I have someone who will gamble on him now, but if I wait until after the MRI I may be stuck with him (which could be good or bad - I wouldnt get that much for him as it is, but I could get something)

Gagne won't know until after another MRI next week whether he faces season-ending elbow surgery, the Orange County Register reports.

ROTOWIRE SPIN: "I'm very nervous. It's my elbow," said Gagne, who is bracing for the worst case scenario -- a second Tommy John ligament-replacement procedure. "I always do. Get ready for the worst. Then you can be happy (if it turns out to be less serious)." Gagne will leave the Dodgers Thursday and spend a few days at home in Montreal before meeting with Dr. Frank Jobe in Los Angeles on Tuesday for a contrast MRI, which involves the injection of dye into the elbow.

Gagne may need a 2nd Tommy John surgery on his arm. In any case, he will be out of commission for quite some time, so if Brazoban's still FA in your league, grab him now.

Damn, just as I though I got my RP fixed :~( :~( :~(

Had: Gagne, Foulke, Hermy, Street(beat the other team every week in saves)

How do I live without Gagne? :~( :~( :~(

I feel terrible for him...36 days off, he gets suspended, goes through rehab, serves his suspension, gets back on the field, works out the kinks, finally looks dominant only to get injured again.

This is worse than the Magglio Ordonez and Barry Bonds sagas put together. At least they *may* see the playing field again this year.
