Gagne likely to go DL again

Postby fansmash » Tue Jun 14, 2005 6:57 pm

MLB.com reports that Gagne's recent MRI shows an elbow strain, and that he is likely to hit the DL again.

I picked up Brazobahn right away... and let MacDougal go...

Dammit. Gagne was just getting back into his usual dominance.

Guess I'll need to go find Brazoban again.

Sportingnews is reporting he could need Tommy John again. This is just speculation, but I would think htey will be a bit more cautious this time around. In other words Brazoban will be closing for a good while. I just dropped Lyon to get him.

I think I managed to pick him up in 10/16 leagues.

The other 6 leagues didn't have someone beat me to Brazoban...they were smart Gagne owners who grabbed Brazoban as insurance once he was dropped when Gagne came back. That's a big ;-D to those managers for having the foresight to keep him around.

Dammm, I just wrangle a trade to get Isringhausen, so I can have 2 closers (had three at the start, but 2 are gone for the season) and the next day Gagne is out, again. So Now I'm back to 1 closer.

And with Brazoban unavailable I'm stuck again. I guess that's just one catagory I have to give up. If only I would of known before the trade I wouldn't of bothered to make it :,-(

Any word yet on how long he'll be out? I actually got Brazoban in 8/16 leagues but he's on the WW in another one (someone kicked Brazoban to the curb for Urbina yesterday!) and I'm wondering if it's worth burning priority for him.
