Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I'm still happy about this trade. I don't feel that I lost too much going from Soriano to Bret Boone, and I traded a couple saves for arguably the best pitcher in fantasy baseball since we have the above categories that I listed including k/bb and walks, which Schilling beats even RJ and Pedro at. Plus it's head to head, so we've got the playoffs. I just have to make the playoffs, which I'm easily doing now.
By that time I'll have my fully healthy lineup which right now is:
Mike Piazza
Jason Giambi
Bret Boone
Rich Aurilia
Manny Ramirez
Magglio Ordonez
Brian Giles
Larry Walker
(and my bench hitter Ken Griffey Jr.)
And my pitching staff starrin my top 5 of:
Curt Schilling
Mike Mussina
Kevin Brown
Jamie Moyer
Odalis Perez
Then throw in Jason Isringhausen, Billy Koch, and Brandon Lyon (I have Byung Hyun), and since I don't give a rats ass about saves I could instead play Dotel and Brendan Donnelly.
I still like that trade: I got Schilling and Bret Boone for Rivera and Soriano.

The problem is unless this is a keeper league, you likely won't have your full healthy lineup back for very long if at all. The Mets are already saying that it's 50/50 that Piazza is done for the season, so you shouldn't expect him back. If they are totally out of contention by August, which they will be, no way they'll risk bringing him back.
With Schilling, they said he's out until at least the all star break. That means that mid-to late July is likely the best case scenario. Realistically, he's probably out into August, and with a broken bone in his pitching hand could very likely be done for the season as well. As with the Mets, I just don't see the DBacks being anything close to competitive with the Giants and Dodgers so they probably wouldn't rush him back.
So, you should probably prepare for the very real possibility of no Piazza and no Schilling for the rest of the year.
