The thing I'm excited about is that the plan for the new Mets stadium is modeled after Ebbet's Field, the old Brooklyn Dodger's stadium.

Here's the original model. From what I have read the only thing that is changing is that there will not be a retractable roof like there is in the photo.

Looks OK to me. It's a shame really because I care less about aesthetics and more about the functionality. The Mets have been lucky this year but normally early-season rain delays are a pain in the rear. It would have been nice.
