I’m sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea I’ve got to be free, free to face the life that’s ahead of me On board, I’m the captain, so climb aboard We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore And I’ll try, oh lord, I’ll try to carry on
I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory Some happy, some sad I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had We live happily forever, so the story goes But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold But we’ll try best that we can to carry on
A gathering of angels appeared above my head They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said They said come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me Come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me
I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies Singing come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me Come sail away, come sail away Come sail away with me
That and Mr. Roboto. Every single time Mr. Roboto comes on I get quite a few bizarre stares.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

Every since Zoolander and that gaspump scene I sometimes feel a hankerin to here Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.

If we want to get into just single songs from the 80's some of the one's on my HD right now include:
Adam Ant - Goody Two Shoes
Escape Club - Wild Wild West
Huey Lewis and The News - The Power of Love
Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
J Geils Band - Freeze Frame
Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round
I really enjoy going to a trendy bar where they have one of those "online jukebox's" and downloading some old 80's hits, like the one's above, to see who's going to sing along. Besides me of course.

Great list! I just heard "Mexican Radio" the other day the new Boston station that's playing a lot of 80s stuff.
Huey and the boys still tour -- catch them if they play your city. They're a great band to see live.

Def Leppard - Slang Tears For Fears - Elemental Extreme - III Sides To Every Story Queensryche - Promised Land Van Halen - Balance
Very nice call on the Tears for Fears - "Break it Down Again", baby.
Some of my 80's faves: (Guilty pleasures? You tell me)
Erasure (Respect, Chains of love)
Pet Shop Boys (west end girls, send me an angel)
Blondie (Heart of Glass)
Joe Jackson (Steppin out, Breaking us in two)
Howard Jones (Everlasting Love, Things can only get better)
When in Rome - The Promise
