this is my kind of ball player here.... no holdout, just sign the dotted line, buy a new truck and then play ball....

Troy Tulowitzki ... scheduled to work out three days and make his professional debut June 20. Modesto shortstop Matt Macri, another top-flight Rockies prospect, is expected to be promoted to Class AA Tulsa so both he and Tulowitzki can play every day ... The Rockies took Tulowitzki seventh overall in the draft Tuesday and quickly signed him for $2.3 million. He signed quickly ("I'm a baseball player and just want to go out and play,") and will allow himself one luxury. Tulowitzki said he plans to buy a new Cadillac Escalade and put the balance of his bonus in the bank" (Rocky Mountain News)

I think this signing is more respresented by the Rockies, but Tulo obviously wanted to get it done early also. The Rockies didn't want to spend a lot of money, so they talked with who they wanted in advance and made sure they were in the same boat. As long as your not a Boras guy or a big H.S. talent, it shouldn't take to long to sign.

Y'all better watch out for Tulo in the future. Even though he's not Uptonlike, he could be a monster at Coors. Scouts say that he's similar to a Bobby Crosbylike guy (same alma mater), but he'll have the thin air to work with.
