I am in 4th place in 7 team league, and falling fast. My pitching is hurting me. Any/all advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I can see...it looks to me like Williamson and Maddux are your weakest links.....I think Maddux will get it going later on in season...plus he plays on a good run support team....same as Pettitte as Yanks will start to heat things up here pretty soon. I have always tried to shy away from Cincy pitchers.....If you are huring in saves,etc...that might be one area to look at....Lowe has been struggling as of late too.....he is not a big stat pitcher..lots of ground balls, etc.....
good luck

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...
Anytime you have a 50-50 pick between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong!
I don't see that you're in horrendous shape, seems like you just might be waiting for Vlad to get hot and your staff to settle in. You've got great balance though, except for maybe a dominant K pitcher. Williamson is weak and Maddux is below par, but neither is cause for panic. If you're in a seven team league there must be someone on the waiver wires you can go out and get for relief help. Try Lance Carter from TB (no I'm not kidding). Look at pitchers who just came off the DL or have quietly put together solid seasons as minor improvements upon Lowe, ie Mark Redman or Kyle Lohse. Otherwise, I think you've got to sit tight, or deal away a stud like Vlad for a stronger pitcher and a good RBI OF.

your team looks strong. It's just that some of your guys are slumping, ie Maddux. You keep that team, and make a few drops if some don't shape up, ie Lowe, you'll be fine come September

i'd shop beltran around and see what kind of pitching i could get from him. i think hes overrated and would hope you could get a pretty good pitcher for him, and his prodcution wont be bad the rest of the year, but i would guess you could find a free agent to at least fill the whole fairly decently.

your team isn't in as bad shape as it sounds. your hitters are very good, and i agree that you should wait until your pitchers get hot. maddux will probably get better soon, and shop for a good closer, it is pretty tough on a 7-team league, especially if one guy has all the good players, good luck though.
