The Brewers have decided to call up Prince Fielder to act as a designated hitter this week.
This never would have happened had Russell Branyan been healthy, but as is, the Brewers don't have any great options at DH. Fielder will return to the minors as soon as the week is over.

Does yahoo usually add players if they are only up for 1 week?

I'm almost positive they'll have him added to the player database. I remember in September of '03 Rickie Weeks came up for like 10 ABs and he was added to the player database that year.

yea prince will be added, but with yahoo you never know when that will be,,,, hopefully by thursday or so, yahoo will have prince in the system....

Unless a keeper league, why would someone pick him up right now? He's not going to play much unless Overbay is injured/traded. I'm a little surprised he hasn't gone back down.
