Brandon Lyon moved to 60 Day DL

Postby AT » Mon Jun 13, 2005 1:05 pm

Jun 13 The Associated Press reports Arizona Diamondbacks RP Brandon Lyon (elbow) was transferred from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL Sunday, June 12.

:-o Wow do I feel dumb for not selling high. Any news from the homers on his situation? Is this just some roster restructuring that is rectroactive or are we looking at the end for hopes of a return by Lyon?

I traded him early in the year and got Clemens for him. Looking better on my end all the time. Just wish I could get a few more wins out of Clemens and that would top it off.

That is highway robbery in it's highest form. How do you sleep at night fella?

I'm an AZ boy but this is the first I've heard of the 60 day DL. The talk about Lyon has been less and less optimistic the longer he's been down, almost like this was half expected to happen- he sat out all of last season with the same kind of injury. We all kind of knew he was fragile.

As a D-Backs fan this is bad news since it leaves us with Bruney, Valverde, and Aquino- who currently form a tribunal of suckiness. Maybe we can send out Cintron for a bottom of the basement closer. :-t

60 day DL doesn't mean he's done for the year, does it? That just means he'll be out for two months or so. He can come back by late July...right?? :-o :-o
