Looks like he is going to make a rehab start tonight and then possibly 1 more before being activated. Buster Olney was just saying he thinks Wood will be back in 11 days.
I've been holding him on my DL because his value was virtually nill on the trade market and I'm just hoping to get a little bit out of him for the rest of the season. He seems to be having productive throwing sessions and maybe all the rest and rehab will help him

they'll help him throw, but they won't do anything to help him learn how to pitch.

On the plus side, the Cub broadcasters have said he has been "refining his motion" to help alleviate arm stress.
On the negative, new mechanics may make his control even more unpredictable for the rest of this year.
Throwin 60 pitches today I believe and then 75 in the next start and then expected to be back from what I heard from Ron Santo last night.

It is always a soap opera wrt pitchers and the Cubs. Kerry Wood has always been injury prone...and always been overrated. Like this is likely to change with a magic pill...err a new motion?

Yeah lets hope that he turns this thing around. He is a good pitcher and there is still hope. His career K/9 is almost 10.5. You can't have a stat like that and not be a good pitcher.

Did you make it? I saw on the local news here in Chicago and on BTN that he threw pretty well and he gave himself a 'B' grade, but first-hand unbiased accounts are the best!

What difference does it make? Wood will only end up back on the DL with some new injury. You know, like breaking his neck carrying deer meat down stairs or something.
