I picked up Pavano the other day to use him as a spot start against the Cards. I was wondering if he is worth keeping on my roster, or should i just drop him and use him as a spot starter? thanks.

10 team, h2h
I chose him as my spot starter because he was the only decent pitched left on the waiver wire that was going that day.

It looks like you need the SP help, but I don't know if Pavano is exactly what you're looking for. But I've always thought that there's no reason to drop an OK player unless there's a better player available...

He could be worthy if he remembers how to pitch again
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

Pavano has been erratic and gopher ball prone, but he has not been too bad. The miserable Yank bullpen has managed to blow 3 or 4 of his games for him. The miserable Yank offense has pretty much done zip for him at times also as it fluctuates between extremely hot and ice cold team hitting.
He should definitely be owned in most leagues and started in most matchups. You probably want to keep him benched vs the Red Sox and Os.

I've had Pavano from the beginning of the season. He's pitched well in all but a few games. He's been victimized by some awful defense, poor run support and relief pitching, and just bad luck. He should have an extra 2 or 3 wins, an ERA 1/4 point lower, and a WHIP under 1.30.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.
