Thomas Diamond was named Texas' #1 prospect by BA...at High A he was 8-0 with a 1.99 ERA and 101 K's in 81.1 IP. His last start was a complete game 14K shutout where he faced the 27 batter minimum.
A good long term investment for a C would be Neil Walker for Pitt.
What do you guys think of Verlander and Olsen. I see they dropped to the third round. I see very few SP were pick in the top rounds, but should they have gone higher?
I saw you grabbed Guzman, but if he gets moved to 3rd, Chris Nelson SS from Colorado may be good.
Why not Justin Upton? Supposedly better than his brother when they were the same age. If Gordon was taken (i.e. you can take recent draftees), I'd look at Upton.
Also, Chris Nelson, who is admittedly struggling at low-A, is allegedly a five tool prospect at SS who will be in Colorado.
There's also Jeff Francoeur (OF ATL AA) and Yusmeiro Petit (SP NYM AA).

Justin was taken 4th. BJ, presumably last year.
Oops - missed that. Thanks. I would have taken several other players before him, so I didn't realize he had gone that high.
I still stick by Nelson, Francoeur and Petit, though, as options this round.
