Any tricks to finding cheap flights?

Postby Phatferd » Sun Jun 12, 2005 7:19 pm

I am in Orange County, California and am going to fly out to Phoenix, but don't want to spend 150 bucks round trip for a 1 hour flight. Driving is out of the question, I don't think my car can make it.

Southwest has 50 bucks before all the taxes each way, which is doable if I have to, but I would like to know if there are promotional codes or anything floating around out there.

I used to see Southwest advertise like 30-40 bucks for flights all the time.

Thanks for the help.

I highly doubt you'll beat a $100 round trip flight given the high cost of fuel right now.

I'd go with SW, it's bar-none the best airline. They're very reasonable. ;-D

It was $39 flights from SW, but they raised the minimum to $49 now. It's still cheap though, planes and their fuel is ridiculously expensive.

Date flight attendants ;-D

Isn't AmericaWest based in Phoenix? maybe that would make them a little cheaper.

I have heard that the best prices are after midnight on Wednesdays. I didn't notice a difference with my Cancun airfare but it's worth a shot. ;-D

JetBlue has very limited flights and schedules. I signed up for something on Southwest to alert me with deals in my email and got deals for around $37 bucks each way, which is great.

Sad thing is now a few more people will be joining me on the trip so now I think we are gonna drive and just split the gas so it will be a lot cheaper.

Thanks guys.
