Definitely a nice trend over the last few weeks, but it's still been a bit frustrating. Finally a little payoff. He's got a way to go before 'he's back' or has redeemed his value to any great extent.

Since the beginning of May, he's hitting .290 with 8 HRs and 28 RBI.

That's right in line with the kind of value Chavez should be expected to deliver, and that's the kind of value that Chavez owners were expecting when they drafted him.

I'd say it's safe to say that he's back. It's not like this game came out of nowhere, he's been heating up for quite some time now...
