Has he finally found his groove or is it just a repeat of the April 25 gem against weak hitting Houston? 6 IP, 10 Ks, no BB versus Tampa Bay so far.

A bit of both. I would wait until he goes against the Yankees, Red Sox and maybe St Louis over the next few weeks to decide for sure.

Agreed, but he's still really turning it around after that injury was caught ;-D

People, it's the Rays .. seriously...

I'd say it is more the Rays making him look good then the other way around. It's good to see though for people who have Oliver.

Yes, it's the Rays...who rank 2nd in batting average and 9th in runs scored in MLB.

They aren't a great offensive team, but they aren't bad, either.

It was vs. The Rays...who cant hit on the Road, .702 OPS on the Road, #21 in the league. Either way, 7 ip 1 er 1bb 10 Ks vs anyone cant be a bad thing.

The Rays are beyond pathetic on the road and have never faced Perez, big disadvantage. Like I said it's good to see if you have Ollie, my post was simply saying it isn't that great IMO.

Since they play in a neutral home park, I don't see how focusing only on the road stats is a better measure of their offense. It merely cuts your sample in half. Unless you are then going to adjust the home and road stats for quality of opposition, team performance in those 30 games is not a better measure of overal ability than their performance in their total games.

Some teams/players do not play as well on the road. No matter what statistics you have, it's a fact of baseball.
