Anyone know a lot about the Phoenix area?

I am moving there in January for school and my Dad owns a Condo out there, but he doesn't know much about it or the area. He just bought it and has a management company take care of everything.

It is off E. Pierson St, which is close to Camelback and 12th St.

I think there is a huge Auto Mall right across the street or around the block.

Anyone know a lot about this area? Is it a decent area.
