Wins are the last category that I worry about. You cant chase them.

They will come. And even if they don't, that just means Burnett will be a steal at next years draft too!

What about Loaiza? The guy's pitching well for a team that's contending and he has 2 freaking wins!

My RP's (Shields and Batista) have as many wins as three of my starters (Loaiza, Sheets and Burnett). If not for Halladay and Eaton I'd be getting pounded in W's!

randy johnson got screwed for support last year. Probably the worst ive ever seen.

Burnett has had some bad luck, but this is his 2nd start in a row where he was pitching a gem and was left in the game 1 inning too long. He gave up 3 runs in the 7th last Sunday and couldn't get the win, and he gave up 2 runs in the 8th Yesterday and got the ND. Then again the bullpen has been terrible so I guess I can't blame McKeon for keeping him in there.

Actually, no, Burnett didn't give up those runs. Mota did. Burnett came out with runners at 1st and 2nd with one out. Mota gave up the hits that scored them, so Burnett's ERA took the hit since they were his runners, but they didn't score with him on the mound.

whoever started this thread hit the nail ont he head...what can you say? last year it was odalis perez for me--put up some solid numbers but got no cred because his offense couldnt support him, this year its been burnett-misfortunate, just plain old bad luck. i love aj, love watching him pitch. c'mn, bullpen!

on a sidenote: hermanson screwed me over big time last night in two leagues, may have cost me a head-to-head. bad pitching weekend
