You're reading too much into the hype that this thread has started.
Someone cut through the hype for us uninformed. In nonkeepers, should we wait and see, or grab him? Is he worth dropping other waiver guys like Tyler Walker, Kyle Davies, Chris Reitsma, Dallas McPherson, etc.?

I don't really agree, where has anyone really been hyping him? It's obviously tough to compare prospects and tell on how they will do when called upon. That being said Reyes big value is just in runs/sb's, if Weeks gets off to a nice start and bats 2nd ... he could offer the same value or more. I don't think it's a silly or hype based question.
I drafted my 2B position last in all leagues. I platoon 2B on all teams. Weeks is the reason. I dropped one of my second basemen to pick-up Weeks on all my teams, so he is still in a platoon. I've been waiting many weeks for Weeks.
In 2006 Weeks has as many HRs as Prince Fielder and way more total bases while hitting .320. He has all of the offensive tools and hopefully will be a mainstay at the 2-spot for the Brew Crew.
I just dumped Lew Ford in one league for him and Ryan Klesko in another. Both of them were benchwarmers anyway.
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

It helps that he plays at one of the shallowest positions in fantasy baseball. Also last year some big prospects finished the season strong and helped a lot of teams. (Morneau and Wright especially)

I dont think this forum has necessarilly generated hype but it has certainly generated a lot of buzz with all the posts about his callup and the trade.
Agreed, but he is one of the top prospects after all and plays 2B. There should be quite a bit of talk about him, but no one is hyping him up and saying he will do anything great.

I would. It doesnt look like boone is going to rebound anytime soon. You have a good starter in utley (since polanco was traded) so you can afford to take the chance on a prospect like weeks. I doubt youll play boone the rest of the season anyways unless utley goes down
