I was setting up the kids pool this morning and got mauled by the nasty little things. I was bitten at least 10 times. I want my yard back from these guys.
So I'm thinking either the magnet or maybe one of those foggers.
Anybody have 1?
How well do they work?
Are they worth the money?
What are the hidden costs of one?

I have about .5 acre i want covered. The mosquito magnet uses propane and attracts the mosquitos by burning some chemical that attracts them and then they get trapped and die, I think.

i was at Sam's Club ealier tonight and saw one of those propane fueled mosquito magnets. it said it covered up to the size of a football field but it appeared to be adjustable so you don't burn through the propane so fast. it was like 230 bones though. the local news did a story on them last year and apparently they work very well.

I've got one of the mosquito magnets, and it works well. Everytime I check it, there are like a billion mosquitos dead in the net. You can call the mosquito magnet company and set up a deal where they will automatically send you an extra propane every so often, so you dont have to worry about replacing the tank. Setting it up the machine was easy.
Id definately suggest it.
