yes but it wasn't as teeny bopper till then. they coupled with nsync britney and christina turned it all kiddie. i do agree it became a awful channel long before that.

I would say it was more like 1995-6. I was a big fan all through the Grunge era, right up until the mid-90s, but I remember I stopped watching about the time that all the grunge bands like Soundgarden began to fall off, because MTV turned to "urban" music.

Whenever they decided that Chris Rock couldn't host any more.

I remember the last time he hosted the Video Awards Show. "Fat Boy Slim? Looks more like White Boy Retarded" and of course: "There's JLo. I heard that she needed two limos to drive her here. One for her and the other one for her ass."

MTV is a joke...Although if you run out of porn you can stare at some of the hot chicks on those reality shows they have.

As I said on another site, when I flipped by and saw that Lindsay Lohan won for the best female performance in Mean Girls, any and all credibility for this awards show went totally out the window. :-t

BTW Lindsay Lohan now looks like a Heroin addict which sucks because she had such vuluptous nice boobies and now they are all heroin'd out and flat and stuff.. at least from what I've seen on the tabloids
