Tell me about this guy. Looks like he will have to change posisitons with Beltre holding down the hot corner for a few more years.What can we expect from him for numbers?And what would you say is his estimated time getting to the show? We have a special minor league reserve where we can grab up to two players and keep them stashed for the whole season with activating them. They would go on the regular minor league reserve 2006 and if they come up be activated. Is Gordon a guy I should snatch up NOW?

Well first of all, the Royals drafted Gordon ... not the M's. I'd say give him a year and a half or so, and he should be real close. As for anything else, go here:

Is he close to signing? Think he could make the team out of ST next year?

I think he's more like a Scott Rolen. Overall good athlete...damn good hitter, maybe a little more power, though, which is where the Tex comparison comes in. Tex is a HR title threat, though, and I don't see Gordon ever hitting that many out.

Well comparisons are hard to begin with cause for the most part, there is no exact player like the one your talking about. Rolen is a good comparison, but physically is different. Gordon isn't that big and is left handed, I used Blalock/Tex cause I think he is a mix of those players. He doesn't have the power of a Tex (then again not many due), but that's where I throw in Blalock's name ... cause I think his power is right in the middle between them. That's basically saying 30-35 HR power.

On him signing, well I doubt he will sign while still in the College World Series, which has started today.
